Window Wonders: Martin Azúa designs 47 Birds Scarf Inspired by the view from his studio window

Martin Azúa, a Basque artist and designer working in Barcelona peers out of his studio window everyday and sees flocks of birds. “From the window of my studio I’ll watch birds,” the designer says, “then I’ll draw them by memory trying to reproduce the infinite forms that they describe in the space. A scarf with birds that will let your imagination fly.”

As the birds flew by Azúa’s studio window, he begun to paint. Loosely dabbled black blots and strokes unified to form each of the tiny birds in flight. The artist transferred his artwork to digital and then imposed the imagery onto lightweight Crepe silk scarfs, a lustrous material of unmatched versatility.

The 47 Birds collection is comprised of three unique scarfs that reflect various flock formations. For those who love to wear art, here's an opportunity to wrap up in it!
