Masquespacio unveils day-to-night eatery, La Manera

Upon first viewing Masquespacio’s vibrant new eatery, La Manera, one word comes to mind: Patina. The Valencia-based restaurant is brimming with rich, bronze finishes spanning from light fixtures to leather-clad barstools.

The Spanish design agency had one main goal in mind when conceptualizing the restaurant – create a mercurial space with dawn-to-dusk appeal. Serving up morning lattes to the brunch crowd, the hip eatery converts into a buzzing restaurant come sunset, and dims the lights after dinner to transform into a sultry cocktail bar that entices late-night revelers.

Manned by a team of celebrated coffee and cocktail baristas, the eatery exudes an effortless vibe that’s equal parts homey and hip. Appointed with eclectic, mismatched chairs and a magazine wall, creative consultancy, Masquespacio, utilized existing brick and added rusty finishes to metallic elements across walls, lamps, and bar. A not-to-be-missed teal, tile wall and rough concrete blocks are offset by warm leather accents and lush foliage. But the finishing touch on a gastrobar aimed at adapting to a specific atmosphere? Lighting that regulates luminosity to adjust the to the time of day and ever-changing crowd. Brunch. Dinner. Cocktails. Repeat.
