Hello Bone: Crafting A Wearable Dialogue With Bone Porcelain

Spain-based jewelry designer Maite Leyún, founder of Hello Bone, has sculpted a fleet animals and geometric shapes from porcelain with a wild new jewelry collections titled, Geometry and Fauna.

Leyún has achieved a local reputation for creating unique and quirky jewelry pieces, crafting a natural dialogue with other disciplines and materials by giving a subtle twist to materials. The designer's goal is to preserve the connotations of primitive and traditional materials, while updating its use or aesthetic. Hello Bone’s latest collections consist of chunky white pieces lined with gold chains, where porcelain highlights the shape and texture. Porcelain "Bone China" is a unique type of porcelain characterized by its high content of bone ash, which gives the material greater degree of whiteness and transparency. The designer’s inspiration is wide and varied, being influenced by both geometric and organic shapes, contemporary art, traditional ceramics, design, and life experiences equally.

To present the latest collection, Hello Bone teamed up with photographer and artist Maria Laura from Mililitros, who created a pastel, nature-inspired paper-ar set to showcase the wild jewelry pieces.
