A Sneak Peek Of The Icon Hotel Hong Kong
/Hong Kong’s new Icon Hotel has recently opened its doors, adding a stylish establishment to a bustling city. Hong Kong based design firm Rocco, who specializes in commercial and hospitality architecture and interior design, spearheaded the design of the fashionable joint.
The Icon is equipped with 26 modern and sophisticated suites that echo with a strong sense of nature. Rocco chose materials such as wood paneling, indoor plants, and sleek white accents to achieve their desired ascetic. The team at Rocco wanted to create a grand lobby to match the hotels ‘iconic’ mantra. They introduced an oversized wood staircase in the lobby, which curves its way from the second floor to the first. Stylized furniture and unique seating areas were scattered through the lobby to allow for parties checking in to enjoy some leisure space while they wait for check-in.
The hotel is serving up a creative mix of drinking, dining, and entertaining spots. There are three main venues to check out! First, try Green, the hotel’s cafe and bar that has a unique vertical garden extending up the wall of the restaurant. This green element was custom created by expert botanist Patrick Blanc. Secondly, try The Market, which has stunning views of the Victoria Harbor and serves up a plethora of Asian and European dishes.
After Market, make your way up to the 28th floor to enjoy panoramic views of Hong Kong over delectable Chinese cuisine. But, if you’re only looking for a liquid libation, there’s nothing better than a poolside bar. On the ninth floor, swim up to the bar and enjoy a cocktail or seven.
