Chill Waves Incoming: Made by Jimmy’s Pop Up Shop by Herbert & Mason

Although –depending on where you live, I ‘spose— you’re probably not thinking about shorts too much in the dead of winter, Made by Jimmy’s new aquatic blue shop might just be the spark that gets you planning for spring (or better yet, a vacation). Made by Jimmy is Australia’s hot new label for specialist shorts. James Andrianakis, the creator of Made by Jimmy, set out to make clothes that define the laid-back lifestyle of living on the coast by bringing us a slew of vibrant shorts that are made with quick dry fabric as a means to bridge the gap between beach wear and everyday clothes. The only issue was that you could only find his products from a handful of stores or online, but that problem has been solved with their new pop-up shop designed by Herbert & Mason.
Herbert & Mason, the architects of Australia’s popular restaurant, Gingerboy, along with Reuben Hills, are now behind creating the aquamarine wonderland that is Made by Jimmy’s new store. The mono-colored walls and curved edges can’t help but remind me of being submerged in a swimming pool, a chill little reminder of what the warmer seasons are all about. As a pop-up shop, it’s not necessarily big or complex; the short shack is simply there to give you a splash of summer. Everything is lined up and glowing underneath the industrial lighting, so you won’t even need to break a sweat picking out the perfect pair.
The shop will remain open until March and is located in the CBD of Melbourne. If you’re not looking for shorts and just like the Made by Jimmy’s style, they’ve got your back with some new T-shirts as well. So, check out their shop while it’s still up and running and get ready for the warm weather!
