Outpost Dining By Hassell Studio

There’s nothing like a good ol’ fashioned home cooked meal. Melbourne-based, Outpost Dining Room elicits a warmly familiar, homegrown atmosphere showcasing handcrafted seating, limed timbers and tessellated tilling.

Just as the menu features ‘simple ingredients handled with care,’ the interior design elements echo the same sentiment. “An old timber shop front and exposed service areas express some of the details that reflect the 'nothing to hide' philosophy of the industrial era,” states Hassell, the design practice behind the restaurant. The warm simplicity of the space is cozy and comfortable, complete with rustic elements like wood flooring that looks as if it were stripped from an old barn, vintage light fixtures and exposed pipes. If the menu is as delectable as the design accents, our mouth is watering just thinking about it.
