Electric Feathers' Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Snapshot: Electric Feathers founder Leana Zuniga’s Spring 2015 collection is designed with a woman in mind who is whimsical yet adventurous, a voyager who feels just as comfortable dressed up and she feels dressed down.

Electric Feathers' Spring 15 collection tells a story of a woman who is equal parts sporty yet elegant with garments such as an infinite rope jumpsuit that converts into pants.

The designer specializes in oversized, billowy shapes including jumpsuits, harem pants, caftans, and comfortable, oversized dresses. The most versatile piece in the expertly crafted collection is the Infinite Rope dress and with no surprise, it’s also Zuniga’s best-selling piece. The dress, obviously named for the infinite ways in which it can be worn, is a versatile travel option.

The core of the spring collection rests with the fabric choices. Zuniga’s acute eye for materials heightens her seemingly (pun intended) simple designs. Fabric such as raw silks and hemp are used, as well as had-woven cotton and silks. Zuniga also uses hand-dyeing and painting techniques to add richness and individuality to the pieces.

For her latest collection, Zuniga chose a very calm, warm color palette, using creams, greens, and reds.

In the Spring 2015 Collection, Zuniga chose a calm, warm color palette, using creams, greens, and reds. Zuniga also juxtaposes the feminine with the masculine with vests, shirtdresses, and long shorts. Whether in the South of France or on safari in Africa, your dress should travel with you, be worn again and again, and never look anything but timeless.
