Alexandre Vauthier’s 2011 Summer Collection

Alexandre Vauthier is a man, who knows how to dress a woman! The former law student turned fashion designer picked up his stitching skills by working closely with Jean Paul Gaultier on his Haute Couture Collection GAULTIER Of Paris. Vauthier’s latest spring/summer collection features a slew of slinky silk dresses with stunning silhouettes architecturally constructed to the woman’s body. The ultra feminine collection doesn’t shy away from accentuating curves with carefully detailed mesh cut outs, high waisted gold belts, and tantalizing slits leading all the way up to you know where! Vauthier is well known for his artistic juxtaposition of elegant fashion and female sexuality which is a clear depiction in this spring/summer 2011 collection, leaving us with one last note…Va va voom!

MANDINKA FASHION HOUSE

Knstrct had the opportunity to exchanges some words with the lead designers of Mandinka, Tali Tene and Shimi Bar, who describe their latest additions to their line as “wearable yet unique, maintaining a simple and clean design, using high quality garments and finishing.” Tali Tene goes on to explain that Mandinka offers “urban wear for the modern woman, clear forms and colors with focus on details and with an eye for comfort and individuality.”

The fashion house is based out of Tel Aviv and the collection will not be available to the public right now, but in a few weeks the garments will be sold at the Mandinka online store.

Erik Hart Holiday 2010 & Spring 2011 Collection

Knstrct just took a look inside the latest collections of Factory by Erik Hart. Erik Hart is the same designer we have all been following since 2003, when he launched Morphine Generation out of his garage! The fashion evolutionist has since launched his signature line Factory. Hart describes factory as “an interdisciplinary exercise with it’s focus on the creation/production of clothing, installation, video, sound, and objects. “

The collection truly speaks to a woman’s body, the soft tailoring and directional feminine silhouettes, with high quality construction all speak to the talent of the designer and his ever evolving vision. The versatility that this collection carries is attractive to the female fashion connoisseur because it has minimalist sophistication paired with street sensibilities, in other words, with a little creativity, you can flip these pieces from day to night with a quick snap. Another plus to the collections is that most garments retail under $200.00 (contact meg@hatchinc.com at his representing showroom HATCh)
