Mödernaked S/S 2013 Caps, Spain
March 27th, 2013 – Lead designer and founder of Modernaked, Solange Carneiro, has created a surprisingly delightful range of caps with eclectic prints of cupcakes, lions, tropical flamingos, and even a beach side trailer park for their new Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Relatively new to the fashion scene, Carneiro introduced the world to Modernaked last year with a stellar collection of jewelry encompassing quirky animal rings, bicycle necklaces, and pistol shaped earrings. Now, the designer is back with a series of handcrafted 5 Panels Caps made with authentic vintage fabric. In addition to the vibrant caps, Carneiro added some noteworthy floral backpacks and a new skateboard collection to the mix.

Is it just us, or did the Royal Wedding spark an deep desire to don one of those nifty facinator headpieces and rock it like it’s nobody’s business?! Well a hop, skip and a jump across the pond Noel Stewart’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is turning a few heads of his own. The London based milliner takes his inspiration from contemporary art and architecture, then fuses them with historical references. The products of his process are a series of voluminous, colorful, feminine hats. This season, Stewart released his pieces under three collections titled Electric Gardenia, Dark Crystal, and Lindisfarne Daisy, all of which encompass Stewart’s perspective on fashion and art of the moment.
