Lafforest’s Balka Console: It’s all in the details

Life is messy and unorganized and we are always rushing, putting important items down on counters and forgetting where they are five minutes later. French designer, Gregoire da Lafforest, has simplified one aspect of our hectic days by creating, Balka.

It is a sleek console that stores all your forgotten necessities. The oak table stands on four legs with a drain-esque dip in the center that gently slides your thrown keys, spare change, or loose buttons into a soft pouch. You can simply open the pouch from a handle under the console to retrieve the items at a moments notice.

Lafforest’s design is modern with clean lines and keeps clutter to a minimum. If only every piece of furniture was this multi-functional.
