Noteworthy: February 2013 Week #4

March 1st, 2013 – This week was full of happenings. The International Geneva Motor Show began, which has sent car enthusiasts into a frenzy as auto makers are unveiling all their new models. Over in Paris, Fashion Week kicked off with a bang as designers unveiled their spring/summer 2013 collections. In the middle of these epic events that drive a lot of attention and hype, there are some pretty cool stuff that sometimes gets missed. Here’s a roundup of other cool things that happened this week worth knowing about.

UK based fashion house ZDDZ, presented their new collection this week full of one of a kind oversize jackets. The collections of large jackets and blazers are decorated with abstract bold art. The garment makers  are remixing urban impressions into a new angle of sophistication. The marriage of eccentric and refined qualities is the ceremony that defines the designs.

Volkswagen XL1 car

Volkswagen XL1 car going from concept to real life

This week, Volkswagen has announced that their XL1 Concept car is now going into production. That’s right, the life imitating art. The XL1 has taken over 10 years of developing and has cool spaceship-like doors, carbon body similar to a race car, and stunning looks. The car will weigh only 1741 lbs, with 261 MPG and some high tech attributes. We commend VW for working towards the future of transpiration design!
