October 29th, 2012 – Oscar & Wild’s second shop has opened its doors on Burke Road in Camberwell, Australia. Matt Gibson, Principal architect of Matt Gibson Architecture, is a creative known for his unique way of merging the disciplines of architecture and interior design. Gibson proved this talent in the new shop where he reinterprets the exotic style of Persia with a new twist on Moorish door arch’s, decorative latticework, and a lux mixture of gold paneling with white accents.

Gibson took what would have been a traditional detailed Arabic Mashrabiya screen, and transformed it into a contemporary pattern which finds its way onto perforated white paneling secured to the walls and ceilings. Oscar & Wild’s garments are a refreshing mixture of pieces taken from the most sought after places in the Middle East and Africa, Gibson expressed the idea of the luxury by securing strips of gold paneling to the series of Moorish archways throughout the shop, making a grandeur and exciting experience.
