Ljubljana Puppet Theater, Slovenia

July 23rd, 2012 – It’s been 100 years since the  Ljubljana Puppet Theater acted out its first great puppet performance on stage. Over time, the aging theater began to fall apart – a design intervention was imperative to the survival of the historic Solvanian theater. The theater owners decided the space needed a massive make-over, and who better for the revamping than the jazzy duo behind the design firm Kitsch-Nitsch. Kitsch-Nitsch brought their artistic skills to the project when they created a colorful master mix of stripes, polka dots, flowers, and crazy little creatures on the walls.  “We used our superpowers and created a playful mix of Willy Wonka inspired psychedelics all wrapped up by puppet like creatures that are certain to cause some Freddy Kruger style nightmares,” the duo explained in a mind blowing manner!
