The Cage Skirt

July 8th, 2012 – Toronto based fashion designer Leilanni (Lay-Lah-Nee) has taken an architectural approach to her carefully designed Cage Skirt. The designer says her garment is “A new take on the cage skirt – Banded Elastics!” The high waisted skirt is comfortable, and super stretchy – allowing you to mix and match it over any skirt you want. The Cage is constructed of sewn strips of horizontal black industrial elastic connected together with vertical elastic strips crossing through. Leilanni designed the garment to sit at a woman’s natural waist, making the Cage Skirt a perfect complement to the body.
